Few people know that storm drains located on your street empty right into local streams, creeks, and rivers in your neighbourhood. To remind people not to dump waste oil and other contaminants into the local water table, Yale Secondary leadership students, in Abbotsford BC, took a training course from their city on how to properly paint yellow fish on the storm drains in the area. It became a leadership class project and a positive community outreach project. This event was approved as being in good taste by Charlie the Tuna.
