Méganes Leadership Journey

Leadership has always been important to me because it allows me to represent and promote my Francophone community. A defining moment in my experience with CSLC was my participation in the national conference. Even though Francophones were in the minority, we quickly came together and formed strong connections. I had the opportunity to meet people from across New Brunswick and beyond, and despite our small numbers, we were very united. This experience showed me how strong a community can be, even in a minority situation.

My experience with CSLC was very enriching. It allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and better understand what leadership truly is. I learned that leadership is not only about leading, but also about building connections, supporting others, and making sure everyone feels included.

I got involved in Relay for Life because it is an event that brings people together around an important cause, much like CSLC. Thanks to the leadership and teamwork experience I gained through CSLC, I felt more confident getting involved and developing my skills. I also chose to participate because I enjoy giving my time and this cause is particularly meaningful to me.

Through Relay for Life, I had the opportunity to take on responsibilities, organize activities, and collaborate with others toward a common goal. This experience helped me develop important skills such as communication, organization, and teamwork.

Through these experiences, I learned a lot about myself. I gained confidence, became more comfortable taking initiative, and realized the impact I can have as a leader. I understood that leadership is, above all, about making a difference, even on a small scale.

In the future, I hope to continue getting involved in leadership projects and to have a positive impact on my community. I would encourage other students to participate in experiences like CSLC or Relay for Life, as they allow you to grow, build connections, and discover your full potential.
