Looking for a simple but meaningful way to celebrate student (and staff!) impact throughout the year? Try launching a "Students of the Month" recognition program with a twist.
Each month, feature four students who are making a difference outside of athletics and academics. Maybe it’s the student who organizes peer tutoring, the one who always includes others, or the quiet leader who shows up early to set up events without being asked.
Occasionally, spotlight a staff member too like a beloved custodian, a retiring teacher, or someone who’s gone above and beyond behind the scenes.
Nominations can come from staff, or you can invite student submissions to increase engagement and ownership. And don’t forget: the more creative the design, the more it stands out.

See Waterloo Oxfords take on it!
It’s a fun, easy-to-run initiative that builds community, boosts morale, and reminds everyone that impact comes in many forms.
