Introduction To The Student Leadership Certification Program

Leadership is more than just a title, it’s about developing the confidence, skills, and mindset to make a positive difference. CSLA has been helping students grow as leaders for over 40 years, and now, with the Student Leadership Certification Program, students across Canada can gain national recognition for their efforts.

This program empowers students in Grades 7–12 to track their growth, celebrate achievements, and earn official certificates that highlight their leadership journey in school, community, and beyond.

How It Works

There are three flexible ways to complete your leadership certification:

1. Classroom Model

Educators can integrate the certification program directly into their class, club, or grade-wide activities. Lessons and assignments align with existing programs, while CSLA provides an online platform and facilitation guide.

2. In-Person Workshops

CSLA facilitators bring leadership learning to life with engaging, hands-on workshops. Students practice real-world leadership skills in fun and collaborative scenarios.

3. Individual Online Program

For students who want to take control of their own journey, the certification is available online for individual registration.

Who Can Participate?

• Students in Grades 7–12 who are involved in school or community leadership roles

• Educators and advisors who want a clear framework to support student leadership growth

CSLA also offers a Leadership Advisor Certificate Program for educators, with the next cohort beginning November 2025.
