Guelph Collegiate used to have “Buy Outs” to support sports teams. Students could pay a toonie and get out of last class to attend a game at the end of school. This was changed to a “Buy In” for spirit. They were not getting full support from some academic teachers on their “Buy Out” attitude. This change helped to explain “why” the council wanted the students and staff to attend and support their spirit event. The change to “Buy In” didn’t win over all of the academic teachers, but we all know that Math is really important. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
