Our Leadership class prepared a supper and hosted 8 veterans from the Olds Legion. We wanted to let them know that we appreciate them all year, not just in November. Also, when they come to our service for Remembrance Day we see them march in and out and we don’t get to talk to them about their experiences.
We gave them a school tour and then the kids sat down one to one with them to “chat” while the leadership teachers served them. The kids had prepared a list of questions that they wanted to ask. What amazing interaction. The Legion members were so impressed with our kids. This is definitely a must-do event and one I wanted to share.
